RayGen is pleased to announce two internal leadership appointments as we continue to scale our technology and project delivery capabilities.
Derek Scott has been appointed Chief Technology Officer and Liam Fechner has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Since joining RayGen in 2020, Derek has driven major advances in our technology, overseeing the development and manufacturing of the PV Ultra module, leading product development across the receiver, module and heliostat systems, and delivering major milestones, including the 170 MW per year module manufacturing line and the automated heliostat assembly line at our flagship site at Carwarp, Victoria.
Over the past three years as RayGen’s Systems Engineering Manager, Liam has contributed significantly to the evolution of our unique Thermal Hydro energy storage and generation design and worked closely with Australian and international partners on project development and delivery.
In his new role, he will continue to build RayGen’s people, systems, and capabilities to deliver projects and solutions for our customers.
RayGen CEO Richard Payne said: “We are delighted to announce these two well-deserved appointments.
“Derek and Liam have been central to RayGen’s success over the past years and their deep expertise and leadership will strengthen our next phase of technology development and large-scale deployment.
“These appointments reflect RayGen’s strong commitment to developing and promoting internal talent, creating opportunities for our people to grow alongside the company as we bring a new generation of renewable energy technology to market.”
