Project Overview
The Yadnarie renewable energy facility, 7km west of Cleve, will provide bulk solar energy and Long-Duration Energy Storage, and support grid reliability, in South Australia.
The project will use RayGen's unique proprietary PV Ultra and thermal hydro storage technology.
In July 2025, Yadnarie was acquired by AGL from Photon Energy Group, signalling the next phase in the project's development. ASX-listed AGL Energy is a leading integrated energy company operating Australia's largest electricity generation portfolio within the National Electricity Market and servicing over 4 million customers.
Both AGL and Photon are strategic investors in RayGen.

Project Status
Yadnarie received development approval and was acquired by AGL Energy in June 2025, clearing the way for the next phase of the project, which will be deployed in stages.
The first stage – 50MW solar, 30MW ORC turbine capacity and >8 hours of storage – is anticipated to be commissioned during early 2029.
Commissioning of the second stage – a further 100MW solar, 60MW ORC turbine capacity and up to 12 hours of storage – is anticipated by 2031.
