Project Overview
Carwarp is RayGen's flagship technology demonstration project.
The plant, operational since 2023, provides reliable, on-demand power to the West Murray distribution network in Northwest Victoria, offering improved grid security and reliability.
The project has a commercial offtake agreement with AGL and was supported by an ARENA grant.
Carwarp is also home to an additional 1MW solar field, installed during 2025, to prove key automation tools and other technology advances.

Project Status
Carwarp began exporting solar energy to the grid in July 2022.
The project achieved 'commissioning complete' – the final project-related milestone with the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) – in July 2023.
It has an offtake agreement with AGL.
