About RayGen
An Australian clean energy technology company turning breakthrough ideas into versatile operating assets for a decarbonising energy system.
Who We Are
RayGen is an Australian technology company founded in 2010 with a mission to develop the world's lowest-cost, highest-efficiency solar technology. Today, RayGen is a pioneer in Long-Duration Energy Storage, combining breakthrough solar power generation with electro-thermal storage to deliver renewable energy on demand — day and night.
Backed by global energy majors including Equinor Ventures, SLB, AGL Energy, Photon Energy Group, Chevron Technology Ventures, and Oxy Technology Ventures, in 2023 RayGen delivered the world's then-largest next-generation Long-Duration Energy Storage project — at 50MWh — in Australia, and is now developing multi-GWh solar-plus-storage projects across the globe.
RayGen's hi-tech solution is designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Australia, and is protected by six patent families.
